Philosophical Perspectives of Fuzzy Set-theoretic Models of Causality

Abstract: Fuzzy logic and fuzzy set theory
are formalisms that have found their way into many areas of science
and technology. Fuzzy-set models of causality are one of the latest
applications in an area in which science and philosophy overlap.
I discuss the philosophical significance of such models and explore
their limitations.
