There's No Easy Road to Nominalism

Abstract:
In this paper I consider three recent attempts to advance nominalist
philosophies of mathematics and I argue that each fails for much
the same reason. Each of these proposals is presented as an easier
alternative to Hartry Field's hard road to nominalism
and yet each presupposes the success of (something like) the Field-style
nominalization project.
