The goal of this project is to design and build a website about a topic of your choice.
Due Date and Time
The project is due by 1:10pm on November 29th, 2018. I will disable submission at 1:10pm. If you do any of the site map and/or wireframes on paper, you will be asked to submit those to me by 1:10pm.
Instructions
Setup
- Download the project files from the Box Folder named CS0134-Project-<username> that I shared with you. For the project, this will be an empty folder.
- Unzip and copy the ‘CS0134-Project-<username>’ folder onto your flash drive.
- Open VSCode and open the ‘CS0134-Project-<username>’ folder.
- ‘File’ -> ‘Open Folder…’
- Open the ‘CS0134-Project-<username>’ folder on your flash drive.
Goals
All of the materials below except for the site-map and wireframes are to be submitted digitially. For the site-map and wireframes, you may do these on paper if you wish.
- Define target audience and site goals (6 pts)
- The who, what, where, when and why for you and your idea
- Who is your target audience?
- What are the goals of your website?
- Design a site-map for your website (10 pts)
- The site-map must include at least 10 pages.
- Mark your 5 most critical pages
- Build wire frames for 4 of your pages, this must include your homepage. (Use a variety of elements so that pages have a consistent style but do not all look the same.) (8 pts)
- Implement the 4 pages you built wire frames for (24pts)
- Place all style rules in a css file
- Ensure that all of your html files and css files validate
- Pages must be responsive using either desktop first design or mobile first design
- Pages must include attributes for accessibility
- All implemented pages should be linked to each other using <a> elements in some way (2 pts)

How to Submit Your Work
Upload all of your digital project files to the ‘CS0134-Project-<username>’ Box folder. If you chose to do your site-map and wireframes on paper, turn them in to me at the start of class on November 29th. Please make sure that they are clearly labeled, stapled and have your name on them.
Note: When you want to upload a new version of one of your exercise files, click on the file in box and select “Upload New Version”.
I highly recommend that each time you work on this, that you upload your files to Box even if you are not done with the project. In this way, if something happens before the submission deadline that keeps you from uploading the finished project, there is still something to be graded.
