Tabkha pictures

The copper doors leading into the church at the traditional location of the feeding of the 5,000. The scenes are intended to convey that story.

This a picture (reproduced on a souvenir) of the mosaic inside the church with the loaves and fishes symbolizing the feeding of the multitude.

Next door is a Franciscian chapel built around the rock where supposedly Jesus told Peter that he would build his church upon the rock (petra).

The outside of the Franciscian chapel, which is built at the very edge of the Sea of Galilee, using black basalt.
