Temple pictures

The relatively recently excavated steps to the Herodian temple, on the south side of the Temple mount. These are thought to be steps used in the time of Jesus.

To the west of the Temple Mount is the Western Wall, all that remains of Herod's temple. It is a place of prayer. The section to the left is for men, and the section to the right is for women.
