This sign says "Archaeological Site No. 1". Guess what the word says at the top of the small structure to the right! The woman in the background has materials laid out to make woven sandals.

Here it is! It's like burials in other societies where various things are included. The small bowls undoubtedly held some of these. Like many other buildings in Thailand this has a roof, but no walls.

This is the view looking away from the "dig" toward what is apparently a home. Note the thatched roof and the ubiquitous "spirit" house over Arlene's shoulder. Every household seems to have one.
