Houses in our residential section looked very similar except for the vegetation around them. These flowers grow in profusion and in many different colors. We couldn't get an English name for them, but we were told that they bloom in the dry season. When they get water, then the flowers stop blooming and the leaves grow rapidly.

These neighbors had a grove of banana and mango trees in their "yard."

Bananas were just starting to grow and were very green at the time we were there.

Papayas were growing beside this house.
