The volume includes an introduction to the archaeology of Ecuadorian Amazonia; a short presentation of the archaeology of Morona-Santiago province; a report of an excavation dating to the 1950s at the Chiguaza site, near the Pastaza river; and an annotated catalog of the museum collection, including line drawings of pottery.
