Los Incas

by María Rostworowski (Obras Completas IX)

This volume compiles ten essays of María Rostworowski written between 1995 and 2000, all about the Incas. The author explores their political institutions, how much they correspond to ethnic entities, and how they evolve spatially. Two main topics are present throughout: the conflict with the Chancas which eventually contributes to the emergence of the Tahuantinsuyu, and the Incas mission to bring order to their growing Empire. A bonus CD includes "La Historia del Tahuantinsuyu," 45 maps, 21 videos, 6 animations, and an interview with the author. In Spanish.
