Pomoná: Un sitio del Clásico Maya en las colinas tabasqueñas

by Roberto García Moll

Pomoná is located near the basin of the Usumacinta River, and it flourished at the same time as Yaxchilán. Thanks to its emblem glyph on buildings and stelae, within the city and at nearby sites, it can be assumed that Pomoná enjoyed political independence and had armed conflicts with its neighbors of Palenque and Piedras Negras. In this volume the author reports the work carried out by Proyecto Pomoná and describes buildings, stelae, offerings, momuments, and pottery, to give a broader view of the Maya of the Classic period. Contains line drawings and black-and-white photos of architecture, sites, and artifacts. In Spanish.
