La regulación del crecimiento de la población en el México prehispánico

by Patricia Olga Hernández Espinoza

Information on procreation and birth control in prehispanic societies is extremely difficult to come by. As a consequence, these subjects have scarcely been studied at all. This research brings together anthropology and demography in order to delineate the population and reproductive profile of the inhabitants of Tlatilco, in the Basin of Mexico, during the Preclassic period. Also discussed are the profiles for Terminal Classic Palenque and the Postclassic chinampa settlement of San Gregorio Atlapulco. In Spanish.
