In 1803, Baron Alexander von Humboldt collected several historical documents in Mexico. Among them was a codex that bears his name, the Humboldt Codex. Fragment 1 contains the list of tributes that the chiefdom of Tlapa-Tlachinollan paid to the Mexica. This is the earliest example of scientific interest in the pictographic work produced in the territory of Guerrero. Now the list has increased to 62 codices. In Spanish.
