How to Order
edited by Leonardo López Luján
The Escuela Nacional de Conservación, Restauración y Museografía of the INAH, where students learn to identify and explore all facets of Mexican pre-Columbian heritage, has widened the notion of restoration to go beyond the mere preservation of an object for exhibit for the enjoyment and knowledge by future generations, to include now the mandate to generate knowledge about those objects, to understand their function better, their meaning, time frame, and technology. This book-catalog presents a study derived from the chance find in 2009 of Offering 130 containing 31 incense burners placed in a complex ritual order. Different views on this offering are presented in the essays contained in this volume. In Spanish.
