La pesca indígena en México

by Andreas Brockmann

Fishing and hunting have a secondary role in the economy of most Mexican indigenous populations. However, they know a great number of fishing techniques. The author chose five ethnographic examples with the purpose of demonstrating the utilization of aquatic fauna in different ecosystems. The central hypothesis is that all Mexican ethnic groups practice fishing, even when this activity has no economic importance in those societies. In Spanish.
