The full array of life that flourished in the ancient swamp of Chignahuapan, in the southwestern valley of Toluca, is the focus of this volume. The results of several seasons of multi-disciplinary research at Santa Cruz Atizapan (known in archaeology as La Campana-Tepozoco) are presented. The common thread is the description and interpretation of the diverse manifestations of lacustrine life that developed in the islets constructed in the old swamp. Approaches include geomorphology, landscape analysis, temporal location, archaeometry, construction history, and other aspects of daily life. In Spanish.
