Policy on Lab work

Each scheduled lab will be held in room 111 Mineral and Industry Building (MIB). In order to guarantee yourself a computer, only attend the lab for which you are registered. To receive full credit on a lab assignment, you must attend the lab and show your work to your lab instructor by the end of the lab period. If you are unable to complete your work during the lab period, it is to your advantage to continue it on your own (speak to your TA about the deadline for handing in the lab so you can receive full credit).

Policy on Homework

There will be several homework assignments. Homework is to be handed in at the lecture on the day that it is due. No late homework will be accepted.

Course/Lab Syllabus

Policy on Lectures

Attendance is mandatory. There will be unannounced quizzes which will count 10% of the total grade. Lectures will demonstrate topics related to the labs on weekly basis, and so are essential to learning.

Policy on Cheating

Students are encouraged to work together during scheduled labs. However, each student is responsible for their own work on exams and assignments. A student who cheats on an exam or an assignment will receive a grade of 0 for that exam or assignment. Any repeat offense will result in an F grade for the course.
