Looks frighteningly like a telephone number doesn't it? well, that was the idea, and when that number was called, it turned out to be Tai Pei, the Chinese restaurant where we had our first date!

She simply had to tell Greg (my friend who was picking her up) where to go, and off they went.

So she arrived, sat down, and I said something like "I guess you know why you're here (smirk)."

"Yes"

And then I offered her the ring, and asked her to marry me.

She said yes and I was a happy, happy man.

And of course, she was being dropped off by my friend, and I was going to have to take her home in my car. Which was odd. Because the first clue was in the trunk of my car Zeus, at her house, and it was there when she left... however did I get to the restaurant?

Well, as it turns out, I had purchased a 1987 Toyota Supra about two weeks earlier for $1000 (LUCKY buy), and had hidden it behind our soon to be new house. It needed some brake work, and needed an inspection and registration, and I had to weasel some time in to get all of this accomplished. But I managed to.

So when we left the restaurant, we walked along the street, and as we neared the Supra she didn't know I owned, I think Heather said "ooooh look honey. A Supra!" (knowing how much I wanted one.)

I smiled and took out the keys, and opened the door. She said "this is yours!?!?"

I think she was a bit surprised. ;)
