"Here is our patient rights statement. We post on both floors and have
copies
available in our pamphlet rack."
Patients have the right to:
- Be treated with respect, consideration, and dignity.
- Be provided adequate privacy.
- Know that all their disclosures and records are treated
confidentially, and, except when required by law, are afforded the
opportunity to approve or refuse the release of their records.
- Be provided with, to the degree known, complete information
concerning their diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. When it is medically
inadvisable to give such information to a patient, such information is
made available to an individual designated by the patient or to a legally
authorized individual.
