Why I love college

It's Fun
College is fun because I can do whatever I want whenever I want. Also, if college wasn't fun, why would I be here?
It's challenging
College is challenging because I'm taking classes in things I have never done before. Also, classes move at a faster pace than in high school. That is alright though, a good challenge is always fun.
Creating new networks
By coming to college, I immersed myself in a whole new environment. I have made new friends and I am meeting new people everyday. By doing so, I am creating new networks of people who will hopefully help me in the future.
Location
I love the location of my college because it is a city atmosphere yet it does not feel like a city. Also, there are many cool places in Pittsburgh hiding everywhere, for example, the outdoor lounge on the 5th floor of the Chevron Science building.
Enjoy my courses
My courses are all taught by wonderful instructors who know their stuff. All my instructors are also very enthusiastic about their topic, therefore making every class interesting.
Participate in various organizations
Participating in various organizations allow me to do things to help my community. I also meet new people while participating in my community. All in all, college is an awesome new experience and I'll love it for a long time.

Jobs I would like to do when I grow up

Things I have learned about college

  1. I thought that when one goes to college, he or she has absolute freedom of his or her life. From this point on, whatever someone decides to do is the sole product of his or her own decision. So far, this fact has proven to be true in college.
  2. I thought that when one goes to college, he or she would be extremely busy with engineering classes to be doing anything else. So far, this fact has proven false as I am doing engineering and I am still able to do a lot of other things.
  3. I learned that college can be good or bad based on what I think. If I want college to be bad, it will be. Vice-versa, if I want my college experience to be awesome, it will be.
