In March 2000 Alder Institute launched its flagship community radio show, Open Air: Natural History Radio from Newfoundland and Labrador. Professor Massey was interviewed at his farm by Rachel Bryant, currently a biologist with Wildlife Habitat Canada, for this segment of the show. Open Air is a magazine style radio progam co-produced by Rachel Bryant and Janet Russell with a mix of regular columns, music and special features.
