Ovidiu Savin, a student at the University of Pittsburgh, won a gold medal at the International Math Olympiad held in Toronto in 1995.

Another brilliant undergraduate at Pitt, D Florin Ghioca won silver medals at IMOs during three consecutive years, beginning with 1994.
