In 2001
the University of Pittsburgh's European Union Center held the first Pitt
Model UN in its history at UPJ, which was hosted by SCWA and the UPJ MEU
Team. Although this was in recognition of the skills and expertise of UPJ
students in this area, it proved a huge organizational and logistical task
with many unknowns that needed to be mastered in a major joint efforts...rules
had to be devised, an agenda developed, rooms had to be readied, distinguished
visitors had to be accommodated, and the first simulation of this kind
in the Pitt system had to be run.....
