I have a long history of service in editing. I was Associate
Editor of Philosophy of Science (1990-94), Associate Editor,
Co-Editor of Studies in History and Philosophy of Science
(2001-2003), a Contributing Editor to Archive for History of
Exact Science (1996-present) and serve on several editorial

I have the highest expectation for the internet as a new vehicle
for communication. Along with Rob CLifton and John Earman, I was one
of the founders of philsci-archive.pitt.edu
in 2001, a preprint server offered as a free service to the
philosophy of science community for the early circulation of new
work. |

Since 1998 I have been the philosophy of physics (space and time,
general physics) editor of the The
Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy and have commissioned and
edited numerous articles (inventory). |
