Integrating Writing and Design

This class in Integrating Writing and Design will introduce you to the complications and process of writing designed text. The class will focus on basic design issues, what it means to think about design while you are writing, how design has an impact on the writing process, and how it shapes the response of readers. We will be especially interested in how writing and design can be integrated throughout the process in order to achieve excellent results in professional documents. You will learn how to use Adobe InDesign through the course, and you will learn how to tweak photos by using PhotoShop. You will create a portfolio of several pieces.
