My Bio

I, James Kenneth Doty (Kenny to the world), am currently a Sophomore Computer engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. I had the pleasure of growing up in Wheeling, West Virginia (< 1hr. from Pitt). Though I am not from a hick town I have had to put up with hick jokes for a long time. I played 4 years of football in H.S. 3 at T/T, and my senior year they threw me into a starting position at center (I hadn't snapped a ball in four years!), and made me a captain. I was the only senior on the team and we were predicted (5-5), our worst in the past five or six years, because we lost 10 starters to graduation and one to injury. However the sportswriters were dead wrong, we went 7-3 with close losses to the first and second ranked teams in the valley, and made it to the state semi-finals where we lost by a touchdown to the four-time defending state champs, in Moorefield, WV over four hours away from home, near MD. I was the smallest lineman on the WV all-star team but was told by many people that I was the best on the field. I hope to try out for the Panthers next year, provided I can keep up with my studies.

I come from a relatively large family in this day and age. I have the privilege of having three sisters: Christy, age 22, is a senior at Mt. Union College studying athletic training; Rebecca, age 13, plays basketball, softball, soccer, cheers, and takes gymnastics; and Amanda, just turned 12, takes piano and gymnastics. My parents, Pat and Pam, have been married for 27 years. My mom is an LPN (licensed practical nurse), and my dad works as an inspector in a container manufacturing plant. Another very important person in my life is my girlfriend Steph, we have been dating for 19 months now.
