Research interests: I am interested in combinatorial aspects of algebraic geometry and representation theory, and their connections with convex geometry and convex polytopes. In particular, I have worked in problems related to toric varieties, flag varieties and Schubert calculus, spherical varieties and equivariant cohomology. One of my research interests is the theory of Newton-Okounkov bodies. In recent years, I have worked on vector bundles and principal bundles on toric varieties and their connections to matroid theory. I also have a side interest in quantum information and cryptography (elliptic curve and hyperelliptic curve cryptography) but I have not been active research-wise in either area in many years.
