Hand and Foot

Getting Started:

Deal two hands of 11 cards and pass both to other player/s. One hand is picked up (the"hand") while the other remains face down, unlooked at, as the "foot." Before going into (picking up) the foot, a player must play down all of her "hand." If she can play out all of her hand without discarding, she can go into her foot and continue her turn. A complete game of Hand and Foot has four rounds.

Before you put down a card:

Points:

Playing:

Drawing: at each person's turn, choice to either draw two from the face-down pile OR pick up five cards from the discard pile -- in order to take 5 from the discard pile, you must (a) have at least two of the top card in your hand, and (b) put down that top card with at least two from your hand

Ending a Round:

Before going out, need four books: two natural and two unnatural. Each book = seven cards of the same number (seven kings, seven fours, etc.). A natural book = all seven cards are the same number, no wild (when this book is completed, pull it together with a red card on top and put aside). An unnatural book = some of the seven in the book (always less than half) are wild cards (when this book is completed, pull it together with a black card on top).
