What is oAo?

The online Autoracing organization (oAo) is a league that hosts online automobile races using the Grand Prix Legends (GPL) simulator for the PC. The brainchild of Bruce “Bo” Boembeke, oAo has been organizing seasons of racing since 2003. Our primary focus is a 32-race schedule over two divisions (16 races/division) featuring the original 1967 version of Grand Prix Legends. Our divisions consist of as many as 19 drivers each. Seasons run from February through November, with a 6-8 week break in June-July. Over the years, our drivers have competed from almost every continent on the planet.

During the off season, from November into February, we host a 6-race mini-series using a different mod for GPL. To date we have conducted mini-series using the following mods:

• Can-Am 66
• 1955 mod
• 1967 F2 mod
• 1966 mod
• 1967 Sportscar EXTRA mod
• 1965 mod

We also host a 3-race series featuring 3 of GPL’s longest tracks (Targa Florio, Isle of Man, and Tandil) using the 1967 Sportscar Extra mod.
