11. Provide Feedback
- Provide immediate and clear feedback about the appropriateness of user actions
- Example: after clicking a three-dimensional button, its shading and appearance should change to give the impression that it has been pressed
- Provide feedback to the user about the status of the application
- Example: when the program is busy executing, an hourglass or similar icon should appear to let the user know that the machine is processing
- Example: use gauge and scroll bar controls to visually communicate the status of processing
