Homework and Quizzes. There are no written assignments in the course. You do your homework in LON-CAPA . The log-in is your Pitt username and (if you haven't changed your password previously) your password is your peoplesoft number. There will be weekly quizzes during the recitations on Thursdays. Quizzes will be graded but will not contribute towards the final grade.
Grades. Your course grade will be determined as follows: Two midterm exams 50% (25% each), Final exam 30%, Online homework 20%. According to the department policy your final grade should not exceed your final exam grade by more than one letter grade.
Exams. No formula sheets or graphic calculators are allowed during midterms or the final exam. There will be no make up tests. If you miss an hour exam for a *documented* medical reason, your grade on it will be the prorated grade of your final exam.

Cheating/plagiarism will not be tolerated. Students suspected of violating the University of Pittsburgh Policy on Academic Integrity will incur a minimum sanction of a zero score for the quiz, exam or paper in question. Additional sanctions may be imposed, depending on the severity of the infraction.
