South Florida Kingsnake
Lampropeltus getulus "brooksi"
The South Florida Kingsnake is no longer recognized
by herpetologists as a distinct subspeices. Instead, it
is believed to be a color variant of L. g. floridana. However, this
coloration is widely sought by herpetoculturists and the name
L. g. "brooksi" is still widely used in the pet trade.
