The Abbey Church at Saint-Gilles-du-Gard was a pilgrimage church in the south of France. It is noted for the sculpture on its west facade. You can explore this facade in several ways. You can look at each portal: the north portal, the central portal, or the south portal. Alternatively, you can compare corrospnding parts across the whole facade- you can look at the tympana, the frieze, the apostle and angel figures, or the bases and socles..
