- Dr. Shon Darcy is currently the Senior Engineer at Stryker (MAKO Robotic System Verification Lead). The MAKO robot is a vision guided robotic system which provides accurate placement of implants for Partial Knee resurfacing and Total Hip replacement based on the surgeon plan. The surgeon plan can be changed on the fly as it typically done through inter-operative kinematic analyses for the partial knee operation. The MAKO partial knee system preserves the natural anatomy of both cruciate ligaments preserving a more natural knee motion and the intrinsic four bar mechanism which is characteristic of health joint motion. Shon and April Darcy are the proud parent of two little girls, Integrity (3 year old) and Charity (two weeks old). Shon and April recently moved to a country location outside the city of West Palm Beach and enjoy a large garden, orchard of tropical fruit trees, and raise Peruvian Paso horses. They welcome MSRC alumni to their home as you attempt to escape the cold or would like a welcome re-pass away from the busy stress of city life.
