Basic Applied Statistics 200
Calendar
- Quizzes
- All quizzes will be ``Open Book and Notes'';
a prepared sheet is
recommended, because you won't have a lot of time to search for needed
information. In general, memorization of lengthy formulas is not
necessary for this course; you should know where to find them for
quizzes, and have them on your prepared notes for exams.
- Midterm 1, Mon.Oct.6 covers Lectures 1-14
- One 2-sided sheet of notes permitted.
- Midterm 2, Fri.Nov.14, covers Lectures 15-29 (t but not F)
- Two 2-sided sheet of notes permitted.
- Final, cumulative on all covered material
- Wednesday, December 10, 10:00-11:50, CL 232
- Two 2-sided sheets of notes are permitted.
Note: October 24 is the last day for monitored withdrawal.
If you are failing, seriously consider withdrawing
by this date to avoid getting an ``F''. The University prohibits
assigning a ``G'' grade to a student who is failing.
Recitations meet in Stat Lab CL 435
(take stairs
up from Bigelow Blvd. side of Cathedral) the following weeks: Aug.25-26,
Sep.2*, Sep.22-23, Oct.8-9, Nov.24-25, Dec.1-2
*Make-up MINITAB Intro for students who missed first week; if you're in a
Monday recitation you can attend the
make-up session during the Tuesday 2:00 recitation time Sep.2. (No
recitation for students who already attended the MINITAB Intro first week.)
**Due to Fall Break, lecture and recitations for Monday, October 13 are
shifted to Tuesday, October 14. Students in the Tuesday recitation should
attend one of the Monday recitations, or see me or your TA to make up Quiz 5.
