Understand the chronology of exploration and colonization relating to the Nation-States

Geography

Be able to fill in European Nation States at the time of exploration on a blank map, such as England, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Scandanavia, Russia, Italian States, and their principal cities
Understand the "Volta Do Mar": the Atlantic trade winds and ocean currents
Know the basic Spanish, French, and English routes of exploration, the explorers why they explored where they did, and where they colonized and why.
