Movies
Dr. Santoro and I offer a free
movie series in the autumn terms called "Hollywood's American History."
This year we will show three series of films dealing with 1)The American
Revolution and 2)The Richard Nixon Era. You may
attend one of the two series and receive 10 points for your attendance,
OR, if you cannot attend all of the films, you can watch them on your own
and submit a one-page typewritten essay on a question that I will post
on this page for 10 points. If you choose the Nixon series, all of
those films are available for rent from major video rental stores.
Rent the films, watch them, and write your paper. If you choose the
American Revolution Series, The Patriot, Revolution, and 1776 are all available
at major video rental stores and you should rent these and watch them.
Mary Silliman's War and Drums Along the Mohawk are on reserve in Owen Library.
Go to the reference desk of the library and ask for the films, give them
your student ID, and watch the films in the library...THEY ARE NOT TO LEAVE
THE LIBRARY.
