N.B. If you have requested work files for these tutorials and did not receive an answer from me, this may be because your email did not get through or, as occasionally happens, I may have accidentally deleted your request. Please write to me again and I will send you the work files as attachments by return email.

Tips for using the Tutorials

These tutorials are designed to help pre-service and in-service teachers learn the suite of applications included in Microsoft Office 2000.  The tutorials, with skill consolidation exercises, are designed to teach MS Word (including mail merge), Excel (including graphing and charting), Access (including reporting), and Powerpoint in the context of the K-12 classroom.

In the left margin of this frame there is a list of hyperlinks to the various sections of the on-line version of the book.  This book is available for download free of charge.  As a courtesy to the author, please drop him a line at to let him know that you're interested in reading the book and/or using it with pre-service or in-service teachers to promote the effective use of technology in the K-12 classroom.

You may not sell this book for profit.  You may, in the context of a College course, print as many copies as are needed and sell them at cost to the students.  If you intend to do this, please be sure to print the entire contents of the book, including the Cover Page as published on the web.  Any attempt to profit financially from our work would be a direct infringement of the copyright.

If you are a professor in a School of Education, please feel free to use the book with your students.  There is no limit to the number of copies you or they may make.

You will need a copy of the several work files that must accompany the on-line version of the text.  We can send you these as attachments in e-mail.  You will need to read the instructions on how the work files should be stored on disks for use with the book.
