The Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (PCHE) Faculty Partner Resume Exchange Program is designed to provide an opportunity for partners of newly recruited faculty members at any PCHE institution to apply for positions within all PCHE institutions. Through this program, the partner of a prospective faculty member (i.e., someone who has received an offer or is a final candidate being interviewed for a position) is given the opportunity to submit his or her vitae to be circulated to the appropriate department or program at all PCHE institutions.
If the partner of a prospective University of Pittsburgh faculty member wishes to participate, he or she should send a vita electronically to the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies (Dr. Patricia Beeson at beeson@pitt.edu). The CV will be circulated electronically to counterparts at the other PCHE institutions, who will circulate it to appropriate departments.
In addition, the Vice Provost will circulate to Pitt schools the vitae of partners of prospective faculty being interviewed for positions at other PCHE institutions. Deans are asked to consider these carefully and to contact the applicant directly.
This program is being initiated to reach out and help find employment for partners of those being considered for faculty positions at our institutions and to help make Pittsburgh more attractive to the excellent faculty we are trying to recruit.
