Postdoctoral fellows: A prospective postdoctoral fellow who has recently completed or is about to complete his or her Ph.D. should send an e-mail with cover letter describing their future goals directly to Dr. Sant with the names of 3 faculty references and an attached CV.

New Postdoctoral position

We use interdisciplinary approaches in materials science, micro/nanotechnologies and molecular biology to develop functional biomaterials and drug/cell delivery systems to advance the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Currently we are working on developing new tools/techniques to develop tissue engineered three dimensional models for tumor and skeletal muscles.

 We are looking for highly motivated, energetic, hard-working, and career-oriented PhD or MD PhD candidates to join our exciting research team. The postdoc will join an interdisciplinary research laboratory focused on developing tissue engineered tumor models to understand the role of microenvironment in epithelial mesenchymal transformation (EMT) in cancer.  The candidate available to join immediately will be given a preference.

Skills/Expertise: Candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology, preferably, cancer biology and tissue engineering. Experience with animal handling is considered an advantage. Good publication record and strong interpersonal skills to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment is required. Self-motivated individuals with ability to work alone or in a team and good problem solving/analytical skills are encouraged to apply.

Additional skills: Prior grant writing experience undergraduate/graduate supervisory experience, attention to detail, and multitasking ability are required.
