In this graph, this line represents the declining maternal mortality of the U.S. of America. Each Latin American country is plotted on the graph at the point at which its maternal mortality ratio for the year 2000, meets up with the year in which the U.S. had the same maternal mortality ratio.

For example, you will see here that Haiti has today the same maternal mortality that the U.S. had around 1930.

La agenda inconclusa es una expresi�n del rezago en la acumulaci�n de las ganancias en salud. Sus problemas prioritarios se encuentran generalmente ocultos tras la �tiran�a de los promedios� y usualmente se concentran en grupos poblacionales con mayor exclusi�n social.
