Defining
our own health 1) How we feel-Feeling well is related to our attitude as well as true measures of health. As the saying goes “it is all relative”. In other words, individual perceptions of pain and limitations vary widely person to person. People who feel well and have a positive attitude are more likely to actually be healthy as well. 2) Ability to function-The ability to carry out minimal requirements for independent living can be another parameter for defining our health. It may be difficult to feel healthy when we cannot function independently. However, once again, there are many cases of individuals learning to adapt to disabilities and functioning very well over time. |
