Today the accumulated experience of the worldwide scientific community is bigger than what an individual mind can assimilate and process to extract “actionable knowledge” to address a specific challenge and/or to genuinely create “new knowledge” when there is no useful reference for action. This mismatch is called “Big Data” it manifest itself in the context of what we call the “Modern Colombian Exchange”.
