Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI)

Fever or measured temperature ≥38 C° (100°F) and cough in last ~10 days which required hospitalization

1. Severe acute respiratory illness, with unexplained etiology, plus any one of the following

A.Travelled to Wuhan in the 14 days prior to symptom onset or
B.HCW who has been likely been exposed to patients with SARI
C.The patient develops an unusual or unexpected clinical course, especially sudden deterioration despite appropriate treatment, without regard to place of residence or history of travel, even if another etiology has been identified that fully explains the clinical presentation
