These pictures were among the excellent pictures drawn and painted by the students in English 0204 -- British Literature Survey II. The assignment was to draw a map of Milton's world as we had experienced it through Book II of Paradise Lost. I encouraged students to be creative and to draw representational maps more in the manner of Renaissance maps rather than the purely symbolic maps we see today.
