Procedure

Prepare the series of solutions in procedure 1. on page 541 then proceed to 3. using the fixed-wavelength fluorimeter (Turner). Use a fluorescence emission filter that passes 360 nm.

On page 529, follow steps 1 and 2, skip 3 and 4.

Questions and further thoughts

You do not need to answer the questions in the lab manual in the talk, per se. But, be prepared to illustrate and discuss the details of the experiment and explain it completely to the other group. How are eqns. 3 and 3* obtained? How do you get eqn. 8?
