Melissa Butler, a 2002 WPWP Fellow, is a kindergarten teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She lives in Lawrenceville. Melissa has lived the last five years alternating between Pittsburgh and Cape Town, South Africa. She finished an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Cape Town last May 2010 and had her first chapbook, removing, published by Modjaji Press in June. She is currently finishing revisions on her first full-length manuscript.
