You can reach the University of Pittsburgh campus from the Pittsburgh International Airport by either taxi or public transportation.
By bus: The 28X Airport Flyer provides service between the Pittsburgh International Airport and the University of Pittsburgh. The cash fare for the bus is 2.75 USD. Exact change is required when paying your fare as the operators do not carry change. Fares are paid when boarding. The bus leaves approximately every 30 minutes from 4:30AM-12AM and takes about 1 hour to get from the airport to campus. You can catch the bus outside of Door 6 in the baggage claim area. By taxi: Taxis can be found outside the baggage claim area. Uber and Lyft are also authorized to pick up and drop off passengers at Pittsburgh International Airport. Cab fares run around 50 USD and will take approximately 30 minutes (both depending on traffic). Uber and Lyft should cost about 30 USD. SuperShuttle is also providing service at Pittsburgh International Airport. The fare should run about 25 USD.
