This is a compilation of works dealing with the diverse links between development and archaeology in the early 21st century in Argentina, Brazil, Peru and Venezuela. It offers a broad and current view of the resulting theoretical and practical challenges that stem from the practice of the social sciences in Latin America. The main objective is to invert the view of archaeology from the study of the past to the building of many futures, and from the practice of fieldwork to the social theory.
