The history of the peoples who inhabited Mesoamerica has been produced from different points of view, and the anthropological disciplines in particular have provided considerable information regarding the language, social structure, cosmovision, and material culture of these groups. This volume offers a contribution to the biological history and dynamics of the populations of ancient Mexico, with special emphasis on the inhabitants of the western region. Dental morphology provides some of the clearest genetic indicators of past human groups and is the focus of this study.
