The goal of this volume is to present recent re-analyses and reevaluations of Las Vegas, located in the Santa Elena Peninsula (SEP) region of coastal Ecuador. Twelve chapters focus on various aspects of the ancient Las Vegas adaptation. One theme concerns the subsistence patterns of the Vegas people over 4,000 years. Both environmental and cultural issues are revisited in most chapters, and new evidence and interpretations are presented. Complete text in English and Spanish.
